Nancy Ann Scott

February 6, 1956 ~ February 11, 2020 (age 64)

Obituary

** Born February 6, 1956 in San Bernardino, California, Nancy’s family moved to their home on Woodridge Court in Citrus Heights where she attended Coyle elementary and graduated from Mercy High School. She moved to heaven February 11, 2020 at Mercy San Juan Hospital, Carmichael, California.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Colleen Scott and Paul Scott, and partner Peter Gostavich. She is survived by her step-mother Sonja Scott, her brother Robert (Pastor Bob) Scott and sister-in-law Denise, nephew Shannon Scott, niece Kassidy Scott, three grand-nieces: Kaylee, Fiona, and Aylah and grand-nephew Elijah. Her aunt Danna Webster (Gordon); cousins Dorne Inman-Webster, Gemma Webster (Kevin Tolley), Drew Webster (Rebecca) and four second cousins: Drielle Inman-Webster (Erik), Charlie  Kingscott-Webster, Tabitha Nan Webster-Tolley, and William Kingscott-Webster; and her aunt Carol Donnelly, cousins Mark, Jan, Matt and uncle Robert Scott’s family, cousins David and Jonathan in Southern California area. Nan is also survived and loved by many family friends, work friends and the congregation of Calvary Church Oroville.

Nan grew up, went to school, and owned her home in the Citrus Heights/Carmichael community. She enjoyed developing a career in accounts receivable departments for Comcast, WWWow, and ID Tech/PROMACH Inc. Her vacations and holidays were devoted to travel including many memorable road trips crisscrossing northern California; annual trips to the Webster family homes in the Pacific northwest of Washington state and the front range of the Colorado Rockies, and occasional family reunions around the Des Moines, Iowa vicinity.

Nan was devoted to her brother and his family. Most trips away from her home, Christmas and Thanksgivings, were to their family acreage in Paradise. The total loss of home and property in the 2018 Camp Fire disaster devastated Nan as well as her brother’s family. She is grateful to the loving church family at Calvary Chapel for providing a physical and emotional sanctuary during their long displacement time working to rebuild back in Paradise. Donations in her honor may be made to the Camp Fire Recovery Fund at Calvary Chapel Oroville (www.calvary@oroville.com).
