Ming Wu of Sacramento, California passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018, in the comfort of his home. Born in Taiwan to Wu, Yang An and Chiu, Ping Mei, he lived most of his life in Michigan and California.
He lived a full and rich life. After getting his PhD in Agriculture Economics from Michigan State University, he had a long and distinguished career with the State of Michigan. He traveled around the world, lived in Hong Kong and Shanghai and experienced the life that many only dream about.
Ming loved any body of water where he would try his luck and skill in fishing. His spare time was spent with a fishing pole in his hand. He had often said that there is nothing more thrilling than the sudden feeling of the tug on line.
Ming was proud of his four daughters, Shirley (husband, Reed), Dee (husband, Paul), Marion (husband, Bob), and Dana (husband, Rob). His legacy will continue through them and through all his grandchildren, Ben (wife, Keely), Andrew, Konrad (wife, Kristin), Robert, Mark, and Megan. He is survived by his devoted wife, Chin, and had openly shared that it was the “best decision he has ever made” by marrying her. He is also survived by many of his relatives in Taiwan.
In lieu of a service, flowers, or gifts, the immediate family will hold a private and intimate memorial to honor his memory. We invite everyone to share any fond memories you may have on the Tribute Wall.

The sun beyond the mountains glows;
The Yellow River seawards flows.
You can enjoy a grander sight，
By climbing to a greater height.
