Harold Wood was born January 1, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio. He was the sixth child of nine, of Harrison Leonard Wood and Pocahontas Wood. During his childhood, the family moved to Sacramento, CA.
Harold was our baby brother, who we use to call “Papa Grey Eyes” because of the color of them. He always had a smile on his face and a sunny sense of humor. When he put his mind to do something, he would never stop until it was completed and finished. Harold graduated from high school and took up auto mechanics in college. He was extremely good at auto mechanics. He could take a car apart and put it back together again. He was gifted in that area.
Harold was a man of God, who was very intense and took his life seriously. He lived a quiet somewhat private life. As he was intense and serious, was how he loved his family.
On the evening of November 9, 2019, God called his servant to his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his father, Harrison Leonard Wood, his mother, Pocahontas Mary, his sister Ina Mae, his brothers, (twin) Gerald Wood, Harrison Anthony Wood, Richard Leonard Robinson, his uncle Leonard Richard, and niece Erika Joiner.
He leaves behind his sisters, Katherine Scriven, Mary Burton, Nina Vigil, his brothers, Benjamin Wood, and Robert Wood, a host of nieces and nephews, Deidre, Yasmine, Angela, Adrianne, Tenicia, Tiare, Isabel, Gregory, James, Michael, Harrison Jr., and Anthony; plus, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. His sense of humor and loved of God will be missed. May his spirit rest in peace and grace with his heavenly family.
